Why is Halo 1,2,and 3 rated M?

I played it at a friends house and hes 14 to me it looks like it should be rated T
do you think its approite for a 14 year old?

it must be rated Mature has blood, gore, guns, and language

the first halo was rated T. then they decited that might not be good enough so they changed it to M. same thing happened to the matrix movie.

Yeah, I agree that it should be rated T as well, but they made it rated M so that there wouldn't be any problems.

Because the rating people have no idea what they're doing.
Example:

Rated M for violence
SOCOM: US Navy SEALS Fireteam Bravo 2:
Rated T for violence and drug references
