Why isn't my Halo 3 Recon armor not unlocking?

I've unlocked all 7 Vidmaster achievements from Halo 3 and ODST as well as acquiring 990 Gamerscore from ODST and the entire 1750 from Halo 3. When I try and unlock the recon armor a message saying "Error: We could not verify the Classic achievement." shows up. Why on earth is this happening?

Bungie scams most of its users.

i am a commander on halo 3 and i dont have the achivements for the spartan insignia and spartan officer. but i do have basic training.

Have you gone to Bungie.net to get to "the Road to Recon"? If not I recommend you go and get it now. You have to go to Bungie to unlock your Recon armor.

Um they stop having it until 10/08/09
