would anybody know where i might be able to buy the halo 3 legendary

Well, you're not going to be able to find that in a store very easily. There's is a reason they are called "Limited" Editions (well in this case Legendary). The only real way to get a limited edition of a game like that is to have gotten it when it originally was released. However, you will just have to keep digging to find someone that is selling it, and it will probably be more expensive than you would have originally paid for it.

Try places online like amazon.com, ebay (which you said you did), half.com (which is run by ebay) or maybe if you're lucky you could find it on gamestop.com or a retailer website (if you're very lucky).
