would i understand halo 3?

im gona get an xbox 360 soon and might get te game halo 3, would i be able to understand it without playing halo 1 and 2? thnx

The Halo series has been awarded for its storyline. You probably wouldn't understand it without them and the multiplayer isnt as good as you think. you should really play 1 and 2 first. If you are only playing it to kill aliens you do not have to play 1 or 2 but if you are planning on playing online or offline multiplayer Call of Duty 4 or 5 are really better.


Btw Halo 1 and 2 should be really cheap now because 1 came out 8 years ago and 2 came out 4 years ago.
