X-box 360 won't load Halo 3?

When I put Halo 3 in my xbox, it makes the loading sound, but then the loading sound stops and it says open tray. It doesn't even say Disc is unreadable, it just doesn't do anything. I put the halo 3 disc in, it says it's reading, then it says open tray. When I play it off my hard drive, it says, please insert halo 3 disc now, then I put it in, it loads, then says please insert halo 3 disc now. I think my xbox just doesn't notice the game. I was able to play it a few times while it was doing that, but I can't do it any more

Did you try to put other games? If you did and it works, the Halo 3
Game is broken. So, try to trade the game where you get it. And if it didn't work of the other games, you Xbox 360 is broken.
