XBox 360 Arcade and Halo 3 256 mb memory, can't save the game have to start...

...from the beginning. ??? Bought the kids this thinking it would be a great present and they get upset at having to restart from the beginning everytime. Do I need the HDD or is it a bug?

Getting a hard drive would be a good idea because you wont ever have to worry about memory again, but idk maybe the memory has a problem.

you need the hard disk drive to save yourself some money from buying different memory card for each game, 256mb isnt that much. Considering it needs some for each profile on the system and then if you have any wallpapers, updates, and so on. Try checking craigslist there usually is a bunch of 20gb hard drives in there for sale since most people upgraded to the 120gb.
