Xbox 360 halo 3 plz help me?

when i go into a custom match in halo 3, it says that i do not have permission to play user created games. this has never happened before and i have checked all the console settings and can't find the option to let me play user created games. i also tried on my brothers account and it allows him to play said game. help?
