Xbox 360 Halo Wars question....?

How are Halo Wars and Halo 3 similar and different?
I saw a video of people playing but they were playing from a ''bird's eye'' view. Is it possible to play from the normal view that was used in Halo 3?
Some people say Halo Wars is better than Halo 3... why?

They are completely different types of games. The only similarity is that they are set in the Halo universe. Halo Wars is a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game similar to Red Alert or Warcraft. The rest of the Halo games (1, 2, 3, ODST, and soon Reach) are first person shooters.

If somebody things Halo Wars is better, its probably just they prefer that genre of game.
