Xbox Live, Halo 3 help ?

Hey, i was just wondering if this has happened to people. I just went onto my Xbox live, and signed in my account to play some Halo 3. it then said that i could only play on local matches, and not xbox live.

I was just wondering why is this, does this happen if you run out of gold membership, as i haven't been on the account in a while and not sure how long it's still Gold, or if it still actually is. Or, am i banned for some reason ?

Your not banned...cuz it happened to me once but it goes away

Might be just another technical difficulty so call microsoft and ask them

that happends to me to i just log in and out and i switch it to xbox live instead of local and if taht doesnt work you might just have ran out of gold
