y do i suck at halo 3 and halo 2?!?!?!?

for the past week ive been playin pretty bad, Ex: getting less then 10 kills and more then 10 deaths or going negative, im definatly not a noob, thats a FACT, ive been playin this game halo 2 since it hit the shelves at stores, but now playin a mixture of both H3 and H2. idk wats my deal, i know how to play the game but im just doin bad latly. i always said to myself when i first got xbox live that i was goin to so good that i would go to MLG pro circuit with a 4 team clan but so far im not sussecful and im getting ****ed!!!

any pointers onwhat i could do to get my skill up??

and no im not a ****in loser or a nerd so dont even say go get laid or sum bullshit like that

I like your sass your funny, ok what you need to do is first practice with some rookie kick the cr*p out of him. While showing the rookie the ropes try to learn at what situations which weapon is better for your style. It's pretty obvious that in close combat situations a sword or shotgun is better, but in my experience you can use any weapon to your advantage no matter which weapon you use. An example my style and weapon preference is a sniper rifle it is very powerful at long distances and pretty powerful in close quarters as well but you have to practice using the sniper rifle at a close range cause if you don't then the rifle is not good for you. So learn each weapon well and to what extent you can use it. Learn your maps well like where in the maps are the weapons you like or little hiding places you can access to get a quick breather to recuperate. Try and keep on trying and learn from your mistakes thats the best strategy learn from your mistakes and dont keep doing the same mistakes. Good Luck

These are some of my strategies I use:
1. Reload before every kill. That way you don't run out and have to reload after 2 shots.
2. Throw a grenade only from a distance not right up close, unless it's a plasma/spike grenade.
3. If you know your about to die, throw a grenade into the crowd or under you so you might have a chance of getting a kill from the grave.
4. If you have a shotgun or mauler (maybe) aim for the head (what I do is jump over them and shoot the top of their head, instant head shot.
5. If a guy is starting to shoot you from behind, make a sharp turn around a corner and crouch (crouching in the game makes you invisible on the radar) and if you want throw a short grenade on the ground where you think he will walk by.
6. If you see a guy throw a grenade, jump and move away from where it was.
7. If you see you've been stuck, throw some quick grenades at the guy.
8. If you have a shotgun/mauler in a small area map or something with lots of turns (snowbound, guardian, maybe the pit in the hallways) crouch behind the energy shield wall (snowbound) or just behind a wall and when a guy walks by, blow his brains out. If you didn't know the mauler is a one shot then beat down kill and shotgun is sometimes like that but usually instant kill.
9. I'd never really use a gravity hammer in an open area because people who see others with gravity hammers usually walk backwards and shoot so it would be very hard to get him .
10. Never go into a big group of enemies (maybe unless you have some sticky grenades) without a teammate or two.
11. If you see a rocket flying toward you, jump.

Why don't you put down your game for a while and play something else. If you play a game too long, you tend to run out of luck with that game and you lose constantly. In that case, it's best to play something else or nothing for a while.

GO GET LAID no just kidding um when i start a match and some one runs up to me with a machine gun (the gun you start a match with) i shoot them but you have to hit them first but when you hit them just keep running at them but when you get close enough hit them in the face that should get them
