Why won't my xbox 360 load the halo 3 maps?

how do i record my machinima using an aiptek 720 p camera? when i plug the av in and out and all that stuff...it can record....but its only recording whats happening on channel 13 and not on component 2 which is where i play the 360. how do i get it so it sees component 2 and not channel 13... -
