are halo 3 pre-orders maked on usa region free?

i got an xbox 360 bought on china, and i bought a pre-order on amazon.com, however i havent receive my game as it is on my uncle house, so i wondered before hand if halo 3 is region free. if not then ill just sell that one and try to get one on china.
