Are they making a Halo ODST movie?

I was at Gamestop today and I saw something that looked like it was a movie of it. Then when i went on youtube I found a bunch of previews of it... But is it real?

Yes this is real.

Peter Jackson, i think, is directing it. It is set to be released in 2012 in the USA.

Not too sure if those trailers are real though.
