Best Way to get good at Halo 3?

I wanna be get to a 45 in TS but im a 42 right now and im just not good enough i never do good against my opponets how can i get better?? I play lots of MLG and my friends hate playin BR custom games any advice or tips???

im no halo player.. tbh i hate it.. but the only way to get good at any game is to just play it.. and lots of it.. that's why im so good @ cod 4

I believe that if you friends aren't better than you, you should play them, playing a player that isnt as good as you gets you to play better and you gain confidence in the game
