can halo 1 run on vista?

does halo one on vista, im thinking of getting the game however it does not say it will run on vista,i do have other games that dont say that that work, however i will just get exited if i get the game and dissapoint myself lol. i can make things run as vista service packs but will it work?
(p.s. dont suggest halo 2, i dont have the spec)
