can i play halo 3 on xbox 360 without a hardrive?

i have just recently purchased an xbox 360 premuim on ebay without a hardrive.
do i need a hardrive to play halo 3?

yes, but you will be unable to save your progress unless you have a memory card. personlly i would buy a hardrive they cost more but can fit more memory onto it.
