Can i use a logitech USB microphone on halo 3 xbox live?

I currently use it on my computer, but i cant figure out how to set it up on xbox live for halo 3. I plug it into the usb port, but nobody can hear me...

USB headsets don't work on the Xbox 360. You have to get an official Xbox 360 headset that plugs into the bottom of the controller.
