Can the Xbox 360 play the original halo 1 and halo 2?

I want to buy an xbox 360, and play ALL the halo games! and i want to make sure i can play the original halo games on the 360.

yes the xbox 360 could play halo 1 and 2 and any other xbox original game as long as it says bc or backwards compatable on the price label .
