Can you guys give me addvice on Halo 3 odst...?

So can you like change your armor or some thing like in Halo 3 And how is it playing as th rook and what do you find out in the game. I say all this becasue I got it for Christmas (dont ask how or why) so some help Plz

You just change your character in firefight and that changes your armor.
