Can you play online multiplayer on a downloaded Halo 1 for Xbox 360?

I just got finished downloading Halo: Combat Evolved from the game marketplace on my Xbox 360 and I want to know, can you play online multiplayer if you downloaded it or do I have to buy it to play online.
I mean multiplayer like Red vs. Blue, Slayer, Capture the Flag, etc.

yes because you don't need to buy it it's the same as the computer version
