Deleting Halo 2 1.1 update?

How do you delete the Halo 2 1.1 update on an xbox?
I recently pciked up my halo 2 and wanted to play... so i put it in and i have my map pack on... so with that i can not do some of my favorite glitches... i tried deleting the maps, but that didnt work.... please help?

You won't want to hear this, but... you have to delete your old Halo 2 save game... Simply highlight 'Halo 2' (the icon, not save games) and delete it.

I had completed the game, and had to erase my file to do this, too... Thankfully I've only been playing online.
