I'm what you might call a casual gamer and recently i heard a rumour that one of my favorite games (Halo 3) invented a genre of games called FPS. It seems likely because of how great the game is and how popular it was but i'm really wondering if its true because after about 8 years that games have been out surely all the genres would have gone by now?
