Did I skip lieutenant rank on Halo 3 WTFFFF?

K so, looong time ago, i got halo 3, i ranked up blah blah blah and then at one point i dont remember how it happend, but i skipped the lieutenant rank. I made a new account cause something happend to the other one. i bought ODST a week ago and just to make sure, how do i make sure this doesnt happen again? i mean how do i make sure i dont skip lieutenant rank again. (cause i had to get to level 10 in lone wolves which toook looooooooong to get that armour)

The ranking of Halo 3 is based on 2 parts, experience and skill level. Experience is the slow way to level up and it brings you through every rank, but it is possible to skill rank levels if you're skill level is high enough. You don't need to worry about something being wrong if you skip a level, it just means that you got a high enough skill level in any playlist. I haven't played halo 3 multiplayer for a while so I don't remember how the new ranking system is since each playlist has it's own personal ranking system which all feeds into you're main rank, but either way, if you skip a rank it's nothing to worry about.
