do dial up internet works with halo 1 for the pc?

well i always wanted to play halo but when i download it on the pc it takes like 10 hours to download so i choose to buy it but first i want to know if halo 1 pc works with dial up or it doesnt need it

You *do not* need the internet to play the single player campaign of Halo 1 on the PC. If you buy it and install it, you'll be able to play through single player without being asked to connect to the internet.

You `will` have trouble playing online multiplayer with a dial up connection though.

Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC does work with dial up, however be warned that if you play online, there will be a lot of lag and you will most likely have people yelling at you because your ping is so low.

it works with dial up, but don't choose games/maps that have alot of people because you (and everyone else) will lag thus booting you or they will simply leave.

i recommend you buy the game(cuz its really cheap now) and there is another halo called halo CE(custom edition, which is different from combat evolved) and it is free but you need the disc and serial code to play it.(i dont think there are cracks for it).
not alot of people play halo now because of other games (halo 2, call of duty 4, etc which are all available for pc) so i guess you really shouldnt worry about your internet speed but rather if there are any people playing this game anymore.

and dude, its 21 century, get cable or dsl.
