does any one know if the halo movie was stopped?

ive been wandering about this for a long time i haven't heard any thing new on the movie so i want to know if it is canceled or if it was just put on pause for the time being?

actually they stopped it that question came up when i was with my friends the other day and he said its not they stopped production on it because its not as popular as it once was
