Does the book "Halo: The Fall of Reach" have anything to do with "Halo: Reach"?

it mentions in halo reach, the "Fall of Reach" which is a halo book. just wondering. Does it have to do with any of the characters from Halo Reach?

Explains back history before Reach and ends as Halo Reach ends. Halo Reach is the story on the groundside ( What happened ON THE planet) and The Fall introduces Spartans ( I.E. Master Cheif) and explains their missions, how they grew up and ending at Space when Reach was glasses. Same time but different areas.

i read it a very long time ago, but i remember the book follows master chief. but halo reach ,the game follows noble team. as far as the integration of noble team and master chief. i dont believe the had a huge role but may have been mentioned as some general spartans
