Forge bomb on halo 3 multiplayer?

on a few yotube videos i have seen people creating constant respawning bombs with fusion cores. i dont know how to make the fusion core spawn mid air like i have seen on the videos. how do you make these opject's spawning points mid air rather than on the ground?
