forge on halo 3?

if im on forge and i want to change the settings for exapmple i wanna change the starting weapon and all that stuff. i know i press x and then do it there, but once i finish a forge session, the settings are erased. how do i save them? also how do i make respawn points into starting points? and what are goals? and sometimes i respawn when there isnt even a respawn point there. can somone help me out or give me a reliable website?

When you first start forge press start (as a monitor) and go to "change game type" and change it to whatever it is youre making . When the new round starts you will now have both starting and respawn points (starting points glow). Goals are for objective games like CTF and Assault and they are basically where you place the flag/bomb starting and end points. The reason you spawn without a spawn point is because there are no spawn points on the map so instead of just floating around without being able to spawn, the game just spawns you in a random area. Lastly, once youre done forging, just press start and press "save map as...", name it and you got yourself a forged map.
