Gears of War 2 - Heading Down the Same Road as Halo 3?

I'm just wondering if you - the people - believe that Gears of War 2 will be the next Halo 3? What I mean is everyone got excited for Halo 3 and it didn't live up to all the expectations. So do you believe Gears of War 2 will be just as great as the first - not add to many new features and not change from the last - or will it head down the same road as Halo 3?

Personally, I'm looking forward to Gears of War 2 more than anything but then again I waited with anticipation for Halo 3 and it wasn't exactely the greatest game.

What are your thoughts?
