It depends, both are pretty much different with their own unique styles.

If I had to pick, I'd say Gears of War.

i would have to say gears of war if you want something new and Halo if you love it

Thats tough, but I would have to say Halo 3, mostly because I like FPS games and is much more wide spread with Xbox Live.

they are both good gears of wars sucks in muti player vs player but cool story line. halo 3 is the best a muti player vs player but sucky story line. so i hope this helps +=)
