Halo 1: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 Online?

Is the online community for halo 1 and 2 still strong or has it gone dead?
I play lots of halo 3 and ODST but I was just wondering.

Yea im sure people still play them , but not as many as Halo 3

Well, I don't even know if Halo CE even had online play.

I know for sure that Halo CE for the PC still has a huge player-base, Halo 2 is pretty high up as well.

The modding community for Halo CE is awesome too - I'm talking about full scale remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 maps with the new HUDS and the ability to dual wield.
