Halo 1 combat evolved Help "Cannot alocate required memory?" Please!?

Hi i just installed halo combat evolved when ever i try running it it says :cannot allocate required memory some other application has been loaded where halo needs to be located"
Please help guys!
I have a windows Xp and i downloaded halo 1 into D:/Program files Please help guys.
