halo 1 for pc wont finish installing?

When ever i try 2 install halo 1 4 the pc it never finishes installing. Ive tryed puting it on my new comp and it always stops at like 71% and dont say i dont have a big enouf harddrive i got a 500 gb harddrive and about 300 gb of that is free. ive also tryed puting it on my grandparents comp and it stops at about 26-46% and there computer playes the trail gust fine and has like 30gb edleas of hardrive space left. for bolth computer is always sese somthing like C/ Program Files/Microsoft Games/halo/maps/d20.map. or what ever it couldent copy onto the computer. How do i fix this problem? and ive put it on a diffrent computer before and it went on gust fine. so agen how do i fix this problem?

It sounds like something may be wrong with the disc you're using or if you're downloading a file with the game on it, then the file might be damaged or corrupted. Since all the computers you tried have plenty of space and are brand new, the only thing i can narrow it down to is the disc or file is damaged or corrupted.

Check with whoever or where ever you got the game from to see how it worked for them or if there were any past problems. If it's a game you've had for a while, then check for scratches and stuff and maybe try a disc cleaner.
