Halo 1 Help!!! - Online play.?

if you're talking about PC, then what happened to me was that I forgot to turn my modbox off, so it wouldn't let me play online. Other than that, it could be any of the following:
A: The party is full
B: Your connection is being retarded
C: It is a closed game
D: You don't have sufficient updates.
