halo 1 multiplayer help?

ok so i have halo for the pc i downloaded it on torrent and whenever i go to online multiplayer and select a map it says invalid cd key is that supposed to happen please reply fast i really want to play multiplayer

Its because it is not a valid key, it will not work properly online. Good luck finding one that will through torrent.
