Halo 1 multiplayer question?

I just installed halo 1 on my laptop and i tried to play multiplayer. But, when i clicked on multiplayer from the main menu, it said that it couldn't connect. I am online, nothing wrong with my connection, can anyone help me?

either you have the wrong type of conetion set in like l.a.n. or something else,i also have halo 1 maybe when you get that fixed we could play together.
