Halo 1 PC CD Key Help?

I downloaded Halo 1 for PC, but when I tr to join an online (or even LAN game) it says that my CD Key is invalid. Anyone know what I can do to bypass this? Can I download some CD keys, or can I take the CD check off? Thx.
