Halo 1 PC Wont Connect...Easy 10 Points!!!?

Okay...My Brother Bought "Halo 1: Combat Involved" For The PC. We Both Have Our Own Copy. Im On A Computer Him On A Laptop. I Start Up Halo 1 Combat Involved And I Went To Multi-Player And Internet. It Had To Be Updated. (I Updated It.) Then I Went Into It I Hit "Show List" About 3 Pages Of Games Come Up. I Click One And Hit "Join Game." Then A Window Came Up Saying.

"Negotiating Connection To Server."
"Press ESX To Cancel."

ESRB Notice: ____________ BLAH BLAH_______

So I Wait...And Wait...And Wait...
Then It Says "Unable To Join Game." Or "Unable To Connect To Server."

So I Tryed Making An "Internet" Game And Called It "AAAAAAAAAAAA" So My Brother Found It And We Played Together. No One Else Joined And We Still Can't Join Others Games...

Please Help.

My Brother And I Can Connect And Play

(P.S. Im Not A Computer Wiz So Please Explain When You Use Stuff Like "Connect To Port." Thanks!!

Its Just Internet Games.

For "LAN" Nothing Appears When I Hit "Show List."
