Halo 1 Players: In your opinion, what's the most failed weapon made?

I used to be a Halo fanatic, before I quit video games forever. What's your opinion on the most failed weapon. In my opinion, "EVERY" heavy weapon is a failure. Especially Rocket Launcher and Fuel Rod gun.

In the original halo? I think that it's obviously the assault rifle. The needler was horrible as well but even less effective than the assault rifle. Which, in my opinion, was greatly improved in 2 and 3.
