halo 3 achievement glitch?

okay so i was playing halo 3 and i shot to people with a spartan laser in free 4 all but the achievement didn't show up....please help!!!!!1

the achievement says you have to shoot 2 people with the spartan laser in a "ranked" free for all not a social free for all.
