halo 3 campaign problems?

okay so have played about 3 missions into the game and inbetween every one theres a moment where the screen goes black..but fer me the screen stays black n the whole game freezes..when i try to load the level from the main menu (not even resume campaign(which btw dosnt even show up nemore only "start solo game)will work)..it just keeps freezing, it will load fine but freezes n so now i cant continue on my campaign..neone have ne ideas?? ive even tried to use my friends disk but the same thing happens but it cant be the 360 because all my other games work completely fine.
no i have the normal one where he is standing with his assault rifle and there is the glow behind him that looks like a sun

Hey which version did you buy? if ti was the legendary pack with the helmet than the disk is messed up.

I'm not sure I understand you but you could try calling Xbox customer support I think this is the number. They should help you.

Also what edition of halo 3 do you have. Some discs came screwed up. If thats the case Microsoft is offering a warrenty to replace that disk. Try this link
