Halo 3 damaged discs games?

What does Microsoft have to say about their damaged games? Gamers have to wait 5-6 weeks to their product to be replaced. Is this the Red Ring of discs? Is Microsoft cursed?

i opened mine up, and the game disc was scratched, not the special edition disc, they probably produced them so fast, it just messed up

Both my discs got scratched on my Limited Edition one. I got the game disc replaced at an EB Games. They said that they can only replace the game disc.. If i want the other disc (essentials) replaced, I need to call xbox. So, I'm guessin you need to mail em the extra features cd, and they'll send you a new one.. But if it's just your game disc, I believe you can get that replaced at the store you got it.
