Halo 3 disk reading as a DVD and not working?

I was just playing this game earlier today, and then turned it off for awhile. I came back to play it again, and the Halo 3 disk is reading as a DVD and not working. Do game disks burn out? I've had it since last thanksgiving.
Well, I ran the disk under some water and rubbed it to get any crap off it. Tried it again, and still no go - but other games work - so it is the disk. We have a Scratch Remover thing, so i'm gonna try that.

1 clean the disk

2 get some canned air and try spraying off the eye thing

Ive had it since then too and mine works, try cleaning the disk, or get a disk scratch remover

disk is probably messed up no disks cant burn out
