do u get recon if you get selected to go to bungie favs?

I made a racetrack that got posted on the favorites and they gave me the helmet. There is no way to tell why they give you recon armor but it is a good possibilty that this is how you get it. If you get it as a gift from bungie then you have to collect the pieces one piece at a time. If you want the entire set of armor, then you can do all of the vidmaster challenges...
