Halo 3 ending secret movie?

You know where u see master chief and cortana still in space. Do I have to just beat the last level on legendary or the whole game on legendary? Also do I have to wait till the end of the credits, after the message of bungie saying how it will kick A$$ for many more years? Like after the message the credits came and I immediately pressed A. I probably skipped it if I have to wait till the end of the credits.
PLEASE READ THIS!!! CAN I BEAT THE GAME ON LEGENDARY ON CO OP LIKE 2 PLAYER AND STILL GET TO THE SECRET ENDING!!!

You have to beat the last level on Legendary, not the entire game. And once you have done so, you have to wait until all credits are done, then it'll roll.

But honestly, if you want to see it and you haven't, just Youtube it.

And yes, you can beat it on co-op and get the ending.

You can actually just play the last checkpoint on legendary to see the ending. Just start the mission right after Sgt. Johnson is killed.
