Halo 3 flight armor?

This is a dumb question but I got to know... I just got the flight armor and I just wanted to know is it flyable LOL and if it is how do you do it? Please bear with me I just got the armor

No, it's not. It's just looks cool and is given the title "flight armor" No armor in the game gives you any "special abilities".
