Halo 3 Forge... Out Of Boundaries?

I was playing on my friends friends forge map... and he had a teleporter and i went throught it and appeared out of the boundaries and could walk around and everything... it was really cool... how do i do this?? ive tried to put a teleporter out of the boundaries but it doesn't go all the way out and when i walk throught it pushes me out.. someone please help! Thanks in advanced!

im really not sure how he did it he might have just confused the game because every time i try to put something out of bounds it just disapears and ends up back in my inventory even teleporters..... sometimes you can glitch things into walls though
