halo 3 help plz?

i just beat heroic and now on 5th level of legendary, and its ggetting rly hard and ive been hearing combos like plasma pistol+BR what does that do and is it effective?

no they got rid of that, it used to be real effective in halo1 and 2. Just try and hang back and pick them off, or turn on some of the silver skulls like cowbell so the explosions are bigger. Or try hooking up with people online to help you, it's alot easier.

yea its the best combo because the plasma pistol takes out their entire shields and a one br shot to the head kills them

The plasma pistol/Battle rifle combo is very effective, because, as you will play your two biggest challenges will be vehicles, and brutes with brute shots. With the plasma pistol at a full charge you can temporarily halt an oncoming vehicle, then nail the driver with your BR. The BR is also very effective for long range, which is the way you want to take out the brutes, because brute shots don't shoot to far.
