halo 3 help?

i want to know how to change my character species for multiplayer battles when my friends come over to my house.not on xbox live.i dont want to be like master chief or a color variation of him.i want to create an elite (alien).how do i go about doing this?please be very specific.

Well I cant tell you exactly but go to change your options. One option is suit type i believe... this you just change to the arbitor...

Don't change to an Elite because you get sniped more easily(head jutting out, longer target) plus they look retarded

When your not playing Campaign or Multiplayer, Forge ext. and your in a lobby, press START then go left with your D pad to SETTINGS now go down to appearance. Once you select appearance, you will see the choices of Service tag, Armor, Colors, Gender, and emblem. Choose the option ARMOR. Now select ARMOR CLASSIFICATION and go left or right with your D pad to be either an elite or spartan. Then you can customize that character with the head selections, shoulders, and body. Plus the colors, emblem and all that I mentioned earlier. Good Luck
