Halo 3 LAN Party Supplies?

I'm hosting my first halo 3 lan party so can anyone tell me if you need an internet connection and what kind of router do I need? Thanks
I'm fairly sure we will not have access to internet. So is there a way to do a LAN game between multiple XBox 360s without an internet connection?
Is there a way to do a LAN game between multiple XBox 360s with only ethernet cables and a router without an internet connection?

well your going to need internet unless you plan on having them coming over to ur house and if they do that then all you need is a system link cord that can connect the xboxs

Really it doesn't matter what kind of router you need just one that can connect you to the internet and yes you do need internet but also a router that will bring you only as little lag as possible. Which I can't tell you which one because they all bring lag at one point in time.
